Great stuff Frank! Looking forward to more!
Thx
Them stands are great I bought 3 of them and used them on an event yesterday made life so much easier
Agree. They are awesome.
@@FrankDoorhof I got something similar or the same from Pixapro before the pandemic so at least 5 years ago, they are fine in a studio with solid floors but not much use with a cloth floor or out on location where the feet can't slid easily. They have there uses but are not suitable for all scenarios.
Does anyone know an app to do this but on an android tablet?
I had it working on an Android tablet years ago with 2 apps but it was incredibly basic. Now they should have something ?
Nice! Going to check them out.
If you have any questions feel free to ask
Beautiful images
Thanks
Hi Frank, I am not able to connect my Nikon Z7ii to the iPad via Cascable using the proper cord for tether? Any suggestions?
It is on the list so it should work Does it work on other software (desktop) Make sure to check Usb settings on the camera that it's using USB tethering and not harddrive mode for example.
@FrankDoorhof in the camera, it shows the mtp/ptp, which I select as ok. I don't know if I need a different cable....? It should work with the USB-C to lightning, but it is not. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. Turn off the IPad. The same issue is like they don't see each other.
You say USB to lighting as in a direct convertor ? Don't think that works. The new ipads with usbc should work without any convertors What sometimes works on the older ipads is the camera Connection kit which also has a USBA port but it is supposed to be different from a usbc to lighting convertor
@@FrankDoorhof what specific cable is needed, if you can recommend?
@@FrankDoorhof USB-C from Nikon Z7ii to other end lightning to Ipad.
Hello Frank😊 thank you very much for this great video! I am trying to get the effect using frequencies but it’s not working at all. Can you please suggest what are the camera settings? Thank you
It's mostly the shutterspeed and modelling light for the motion. You can add a second strobe on a delay but it's not necessary Hope that helps
Awesome! Any idea how to make the app tether only the jpegs wirelessly while shooting raw+jpeg?
That's a setting you can find in your camera most of the times. When I shoot wired i use raw. With wireless 2mp jpgs
Incredibly beautiful pictures, awesome music, you are a magician with light! 😎✌️ Awesome video Team Doorhof, thanks for sharing ✌️
Thanks man. It was a lot of fun
Interesting to see what's possible on the Ipad Pro! Adobe is really trying hard to make their subscription worthwhile. There have been some really fun improvements. Thanks for sharing Frank.
Everytime it's a step forward. And sometimes huge ;)
Awesome Video sounds like a great upgrade. I haven’t used Lightroom on an iPad yet but might give it a go after seeing your video, you made it look easy to use. Thanks Frank. Have a wonderful day. 😎✌️
Lightroom on the iPad is amazing.
Recently, I have seen many users reporting that Seagate’s data recovery service has many problems. Situations range from poor customer communication to direct destruction of hard drives before the case is completed. It may be because this service has been in operation for too long and has started CostDown based on cost considerations. This record has been passed for six years Should we visit again to compare whether their relevant services have improved after six years or have deteriorated for some unexplainable reasons?
Great set with all of the elements coming together to make the shot. I love the use of the red gel!
Thanks
I love the shot! I can see your point about the catchlight in Nadine's eyes even though her head is lowered. That Rogue system is hard to beat. I have the old system, I think I will have to get the new magnetic system. Take care!
Rogue has been in my bag for i think 15+ years. Great company
I can tell those two were having a lot of fun!!!!! as photography should be!!!!!🙌
A bit too much fun
Nice
thx
@@FrankDoorhof welcome hope you do more cosplay shoots been a while
We recently did one with a clown and several other scenes it's also on the channel
This was driving me bonkers! Thanks so much for the video. I had no idea this was a setting that could be toggled.
Glad I could help ;)
Is it possible to use this block with L bracket in vertical position?
Of it has a tripod mount yes or do you mean something else ?
Thx - really informative and neutral Demonstration and explanation Full stop I Personally prefer the K & F Mist Filter for 3 Reasons 1. they are the Only Fully coated Mist filters on the Market 2. Their graduation is differentiated in fine steps and 3. They really only accentuate the highlights and are lifting up very dark areas ... other than most so-called fog, even from the tiffy market leader😎😀
I don't like the mist filters but the black diffusion/black mist from k&f is indeed awesome ;)
@@FrankDoorhof I'm a 3:52 3:52 Little bit irritated, I am using the words synonymously... for me: black mist =diffusion, but not fog...
Let me refrashe I don't like the filters that literally make the whole image glow and lose sharpness. I like the black diffusion/mist filters because they don't show up when shooting normal scenes but they start to show up when you use backlights and only in the areas where you want it.
@@FrankDoorhof I totally agree. The same intention and interests.. additionally, these filters also lifted up very dark areas, so that they won't get too black
@user-jp9js9th8o and the magnetic system is great to stack ;)
It’s funny how some people ( anti e bikers) think you just do nothing on an E bike, you can still get a good workout on one especially in eco mode!
I ride further than before and with the tracks it makes it more fun ;)
You don’t drive a bike you ride a bike!
True

Thanks
I really enjoyed this “ Team Doorhof” live Digital Classroom! 😎In my opinion it’s the best lighting Photography channel on UA-cam I don’t think of you as the “Master of lighting“ for no good reason. I always learn something new after watching one of your awesome classes. 👍A big thank you to Annewiek, Chewie and of course you Frank! 👏👏👏 Thank you very much for taking the time to create and share this video , a truly valuable resource. Oh…I have to say your guitar pictures and your Guitars look amazing ✌️
Thank you so very much
Photo IE?
Ai
I totally missed the live broadcast. Sorry about that. It was a great Digital Classroom for product shots that weren’t on a boring white backdrop.
Thanks. It's way out of my comfort zone to do it live but when looking at the images I got some nice ones
When you copied the model you should have used CTRL+J, in my option, as that copy the selection and place it on its own layer.
Correct but for videos i try to do as much as possible via the menus. But you are right ;)
Can't wait to try on old family photos
It's a great tool for scans of old material loads of my family archive can benefit from a bit sharpening
Way to go Frank🎸!😎✌️
Thx ;)
How much RAM does it need Frank? (Mac)
I run it on a MacBook pro M1 pro 14"
Thanks Frank, very useful. Do you know of a way to batch process a group of photos to the same preset?
Not yet
@@FrankDoorhof @huwevans4452 Do this to do batch processing: Load serveral picctures in Topaz Photo AI and develop the first one. Then hold shift and click on the last one so that all images are active. Next you click on the 3 dots of the first image that you have already edited, hover over "Apply" and then choose "Current Settings to Selected Images". As a result, Topaz will ask you, if you really want to do this. Klick yes. Then Topaz applys the settings of the first pictures to all selected pictures. When you then click on "Export (number of the ) images", Topaz saves the images to your selected folder on your hardrive.
And in the new version you can use presets
@@FrankDoorhof Yes, that, of course too. But sometimes you only want a specific editing to be applied to other pictures, and do not want to make a preset. But both ways work.
@DatuDieter that's the nice thing about free upgrades ;)
This app litterally saved my life, I purchased it thanks to your video and never regretted. The only problem I would like to solve, you probably have a solution for that, is that if I connect my Sony alpha 7iiir to the ipad, the camera uses the battery of the ipad. Is there a way to keep using the camera battery during a wired connection? This way I could avoid my ipad dies after 3 hours shooting😅 thank you
Just disconnect charging over USB in your camera menu ;)
Thank you
You're welcome
The benefit of using plexiglass on the floor on your backdrop is also you don't have to worry much of black feet on the backdrop.
Also true
Thanks for the explanation.
Glad you liked it.

Is there a working Linux based system? I mean all Linux both client and the NAS. I don't want to use Windows, Mac or ChromeOS in any way.
No idea. Best it to check on the synology website. I don't have any experience with Linux because there is simply put no software i can use for what I need.
Hi Frank, very informative video, could you clarify one area for me, for Lightroom use, are you proposing that all images are on a standalone drive which is then backed off to the NAS (if so any recommendations on how), or should Lightroom access the files directly on the NAS (not according to the video), or should Lightroom work from Smart Previews stored with the catalogue which Lightroom then syncs back to the NAS? This is very timely for me as currently I edit directly from the NAS and no, its not the fastest way to work…...
The library should be on a very fast ssd The folders and photos are on the Nas. In essence this means you only really use the Nas when opening a photo. Even small adjustments are often done on the smart previews. It's important to split the library from the photos.
I learned doing backups as soon as I learned how to reinstall Windows. There were times I did almost lost my data but then I learned about data recovery software. R-Studio is one of the best I've used as it can recover the folder structure and if you're lucky, even the filenames. Now I'm more into encryption, privacy, and network hardening. 💪I also have switched to Linux as my main OS for a few years now with no regrets! 👍
Very cool little Guitar on the table

Nice & thank you - Frank ...

I’m trying to copy files off an iPhone to a Sandisk ixpand. Only 5 videos copied. The others are not copying. Now the files on the iPhone are not playing either. Any suggestions?
If you just copy there would be no reason why the originals don't play. Best is to mail support from the brand you use. They maybe able to help
